Beppie Blankert Danceconcerts produces and presents the work of choreographer Beppie Blankert. This will be the company’s 25th year anniversary of touring in the United States. Based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Blankert’s work has a strong connection with contemporary music, most often performed live. Sources of inspiration also include literature by Homer, Joyce, Mishima, Beckett, K. Schippers, Italo Calvino, and e.e. cummings, and visual arts by Bacon, Giacometti and Dan Graham.

This year, Double Track, the first collaboration with composer Louis Andriessen in 1986, will resurface as their main touring program.

Double Track
Double Track is a performance about waiting, or more precisely, the time before the making of a decision. Made in 1986 and originally performed by two women, the work has been remade for a man and a woman. The remake was meant to present the work for a new audience and furthermore as a choreographic exercise: is it possible to use this "tried and trusty" concept as the basis to create a new Double Track? Beppie succeeds to stun the public again with the beautiful choreography and her witty theatrical concept.
