Neville Dance Theatre Bringing the diversity of dance together on one stage, Neville Dance Theatre performs full-length ballets, contemporary shorts, and traditional ethnic vignettes, which draw from ballet and a wide assortment of world dance styles. These programs create captivating, theatrical, and emotionally charged works that look openly at social issues, cultural traditions, and the human condition. Through performances and educational endeavors, Neville Dance Theatre generates an appreciation for the similarities and differences of world culture and the limitlessness of dance as a means of expression and communication with audiences of all ages and nationalities. Travel around the world through dance with Neville Dance Theatre! “Pure delight. Ambitious and provocative…Neville’s choreography is original and inventive…using her dancers bodies to confront themes directly. See a Neville [Dance Theatre] production the minute you can. You will have your senses awakened, and your mind stirring.” Liv Cummins, writer Touring Programs Memento Muerto Utilizing ballet, modern, Flamenco, Mexican folkloric and Argentine Tango, the many vibrant and heartfelt customs that encompass this time-honored holiday, are brought to life. Ethnic Excerpts Outreach Striving to match the same diversity in our outreach endeavors as in our productions, arts and educational opportunities abound through Neville Dance Theatre’s Chance Programs. A variety of workshop and class instruction opportunities in dance and world cultural traditions are available to schools and presenting organizations via NDT’s ‘Chance To Dance’ program; which also affords children and teens, chosen via open audition selection, unique opportunities to rehearse and perform onstage in our seasonal ballets and productions. ‘Chance to Advance’ offers unique internship, parental involvement and volunteer opportunities in arts administration, production, fundraising, backstage duties and more. Our ‘Ticket Sponsorship Program’ provides underserved children and adults from local non-profit organizations opportunities to attend our performances for free. To incorporate Chance programs into your next NDT production booking or school’s curriculum, contact the company to begin creating a package that will meet your organization’s and communities’ specific needs and interests.
