BOUTIQUE ROSTER Aloft
Circus Arts (Chicago) Aloft Circus Arts is a
collective of earth-bound aerial and circus artists who have chosen to
express themselves vertically as well as horizontally, and without
regard to gravity. Aloft reveals more then just the splendor and
danger inherent in our art; they construct accessible, purposeful
stories drawing on the juxtaposition of artistic, emotional and
physical extremes, and perform them between the ground and the sky.
BMD energizes broadly diverse
audiences with inventive and vibrant choreography – a fusion of
contemporary and classical techniques set to a sweeping range of
musical styles. Showcasing McCauley’s choreography, our award-winning
company is renowned for its spirited dancers, use of live music, the
professionalism of its dance performances and its extraordinary
outreach programs for socio-economically diverse communities. “Before we even start talking
about how good the dancing was at Bowen McCauley Dance’s 15th
anniversary gala Saturday night, we have to talk about how good it was
that this local company was able to perform at The Kennedy Center’s
Terrace Theater, with live musicians, before a sold-out audience. That
was awesome.” DNAWORKS (Santa Fe/NYC) “McKinney is a magnetic and
elegant dancer...“ Eidolon Ballet (Chicago/NYC) www.eidolonballet.org | Click to Watch Video Led by Artistic Director Melanie Cortier, this chamber-sized contemporary ballet company performs innovative works by emerging choreographers. Eidolon Ballet demonstrates accessible, unorthodox, fun-loving dance through a dynamic combination of music, choreography, and multicultural elements. “…unique, innate talent,
intelligence, fearless creativity, a sense of whimsy and generous
heart.” - Melissa Rodnon, Program Director, Williamsburg Arts Nexus GORDONDANCE(Illinois/Texas) GORDONDANCE

Perceptions
Contemporary Dance Company creates a new, contemporary perception on
life through movement and dance. PCDC is a daring group of hard-hitting
storytellers - absorbing audiences in compelling tales, and aiming to
challenge existing perceptions of life through athletic and theatrical
movement. The Company aspires to break boundaries by taking audiences
back to the belief that anything is possible, utilizing iconoclastic
ideas and strong story lines. “Perceiving
an opportunity to breathe beauty into a story wrought with grit -
Gendreau's perceptions shine… heightened humor, subtle softness, and
enough passion to claim NY as home base.”
Zephyr Dance, lauded as
“fascinating” (New York Times) and “an
extremely tight company, powerful in their imagery” (Wisconsin State
Journal), creates movement landscapes that challenge and expand public
ideas of dance. Known for its striking imagery and seamless
choreography, a Zephyr dance unfolds, sculpting clear movement patterns
that ebb and flow like waves. Intricate, distinct gestures, clear,
strong lines and tight groupings and formations are set against
seamless meditative movement that opens out to engulf space, then
reforms elsewhere. Led by artistic director Michelle Kranicke, Zephyr
Dance sifts through movement, distilling and refining qualities, "Fascinating…you couldn't look
away. What happened onstage, throughout the evening, was too
authentic-looking and authoritative."
